Dementia
LifeLink understands that most families and carers have a strong desire to help dementia sufferers lead an independent lifestyle in their own home. However sometimes the trade-off for families and carers is the constant worry if something goes wrong while they are not at home with their parent or partner with dementia. LifeLink appreciates the juggling act families and carers have to keep loved ones relaxed in their familiar home environment, yet safe and secure. LifeLink can assist in practical ways in the home, to balance peace of mind with loved ones well-being.
LifeLink Telecare has assistive technologies to support people with a wide variety of care needs. LifeLink for example, can provide personal emergency alarms, a response centre to help solve in-home accidents or escalate to 000 services. If there is an incident, our LifeLink operator will stay on the phone with your loved one providing a reassuring presence until help arrives.
We also have automated sensors for water, gas, lighting and door exits.
LifeLink Telecare sensor products can detect a fall, or alert you or a family member to a lack of movement in the home, or an exit from the house. For example we have door sensors that will detect if your parent or partner leaves the house. If you live with your partner you can be alerted at any time, even when you are asleep. If you are at work or out getting the groceries, the Response Centre will alert you.. LifeLink can help to alert you to potentially life-threatening situations, whether you are in another room of the home, sleeping, or not at home.
There are many ways LifeLink can reassure families and carers whilst helping dementia sufferers stay at home safely.

Daytime Exit Seekers Package (client without live-in carer)
To assist people with dementia, the sensors will trigger an alert if the person exits the house and does not return within a preset time. All sensors are tailored to each client’s individual needs, usual behaviours and activities to ensure an alert is only raised due to an unusual circumstance. For example if the person does not return in say 20 minutes the response centre may contact a neighbour or family member to investigate.
